Celtic's League Cup ended at the first round, Cardiff Corinthians scoring twice in eleven minutes to settle a tie that had given nothing away for seventy-two of them.
A crowd of 40 at the Motazone watched an even afternoon until Thierry Ebube Otu finished a Curtis James Scotto Dabusco pass on 72. Conor McNamara added the second on 83, set up by Charlie Weston, and the tie was beyond Celtic.
Terry Obeng captained the side and was replaced by Jack Prosser on 82. Sam Smith had come on for Cameron Dean on 66, and Joe Barber for Elliott Hewings on 72.
Referee Joseph Gibson showed five yellow cards. Jonathan Invernizzi was booked on 35 and Elliott Hewings on 37, with Rudi Griffiths cautioned in stoppage time; for Cardiff, Joshua Hobbs went into the book on 55 and Rexh Dushanova after the final whistle.
