Coleg Gwent
The club has teamed up with Coleg Gwent to launch a Football Excellence programme, which gives learners the opportunity to develop their football talents whilst receiving support in their education and gain valuable life skills, both on and off the playing pitch.
The partnership is intended to give learners at the College the opportunity to play for the club if the College coaches recommend them to us. The Club has guaranteed that any player recommended will have the opportunity to train with its Senior squad and, ultimately, the possibility to become a member of one of our Senior squads.
The club will make it’s pitches available for College home games and our coaches will attend these games when possible.
The College will be given access to the club’s specialist equipment such as its VEO camera to analyse performance during games and the club’s coaches will attend the college teams’ training sessions if requested.
The longer term aim of the partnership is to raise the standard of football at the college, the club and the wider area of Torfaen.
