Match Report
Rogerstone completed a fortnight's double over the Reserves at the Motazone Arena, a Sebastian Bowen goal on 71 minutes the only thing between the sides.
The two had met in the Combination Cup two weeks earlier, Rogerstone taking that one in stoppage time. This was tighter and lower scoring: goalless at the break, and still goalless when Jacob Pritchard went to his bench on 61, Rhys Jones on for Cam Williams. Ten minutes later Bowen finished a Daniel Butler pass, and Celtic's own change at that same minute — Daniel Madge for Sam Smith — could not answer it. Harri Pritchard replaced Brooklyn Lee on 83.
It leaves the Reserves without a win from their opening three, and this was the first of those three in which they did not score. Jamie Pring captained the side from goal.
Referee Jamie Collins got through the ninety without a card. Both of his cautions came afterwards, to Rogerstone's Oliver Smith and Ryan Cook once the whistle had gone.
