Cwmbran Celtic 1–2 Croesyceiliog — Match Report

Croesyceiliog turned the Reserves' league opener around at the Motazone Arena, coming from behind to take the first points of the season back down the road.

Celtic led inside twelve minutes, Sam Smith finishing a Daniel Madge pass, and held the lead for the best part of half an hour while the game turned scrappy — Kofi Williams booked on 20, Logan Mulcahy on 31. Then Oscar Balkwill levelled on 37 from Sam Leek's ball, and by the break Jamie Williams and Bailey Goodall had been cautioned too. Half-time: 1-1.

Balkwill got the second on 66, this time set up by Kenny Hurford. Celtic had already gone to the bench — Joe Barber on for Jack Prosser on 57, Luke Betts for Madge a minute later — and Cam Williams replaced Brooklyn Lee on 75, but the equaliser never came.
