By winning the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales Cup, our under 16 team became the first team from Gwent to win a League title and three cups in the same season, according to Gwent FA Secretary, Alan Watkins.
Micky Copeman’s team were unbeaten all season and topped the Torfaen Junior & Youth League’s under 16 division, won their League Cup, the Gwent FA under 16 cup as well as their latest scalp.
It was a remarkable season for a remarkable bunch of lads who have swept all before them as they’ve come up through the age groups.
