Fontines d.c Wear Cwmbran Celtic Shirt for Reading Festival Headline Set.

Fontaines D.C. played Reading this weekend wearing green and white hoops with MOGWAI across the chest: the 2026/27 Cwmbran Celtic away shirt.

It is not the first football shirt they have been near. Bohemian FC in Dublin put Fontaines D.C. on their kit, in exactly the spirit ours was made — a small club and a band deciding that the space where a betting company usually goes could say something else instead.

That is the whole idea behind the Music Shirts. For 2026/27 Cwmbran Celtic gave all four first-team shirt fronts to independent bands rather than selling them: Super Furry Animals, Mogwai, Panic Shack and Loose Articles. Grassroots football and grassroots music are fighting the same fight. Both run on passion and tight budgets, and when either one goes, a town loses something it does not easily get back. Ten per cent of every shirt sold goes to Music Venue Trust.▎
