Early Smith goal and a clean sheet as Reserves beat Chepstow

By Malcolm Jarrett · 13 September 2026

One goal in the seventh minute was enough for a second league win in a row.

Cwmbran Celtic Reserves beat Chepstow Town Reserves 1-0 at the Motazone Arena on Saturday. Sam Smith scored the only goal on seven minutes, set up by Gary Phillips.

Samuel Walsh kept a clean sheet in goal, and captain Evan Prosser’s defence held on for the rest of the afternoon. Daniel Madge came on early for Cam Williams and was later replaced by Jack Shepard. Richard Lewis refereed.
