Celts handed home Welsh Cup tie with Newport Corinthians”
Cwmbran Celtic have been drawn at home to Newport Corinthians in the Second Qualifying Round of the Welsh Cup, following the draw at the Football Association of Wales.
The Celts received a bye through the First Qualifying Round — one of just four clubs across Wales to do so — and enter at this stage. The tie will be played over the weekend of 21–23 August, with our game scheduled for Saturday 22 August, 2:30pm at the Motazone Arena.
A total of 120 clubs feature in this round of the FAW’s premier knockout competition, split into Northern and Southern sections, with winners progressing towards the rounds proper and a shot at the Cymru Premier clubs.
