We had to play our home game against Trethomas Bluebirds at Caerau Ely’s Cwrt yr Ala Road ground because of the Torfaen Council ban on playing at Celtic Park until next month and came away with a 2-2 draw – our 3^rd one point of the season all of which have been against Gwent opposition.

Trethomas took the lead in the 9^th minute when Dylan Salmon whipped the ball from the left low into the box where Josh Williams was quickest to react to place the ball into the corner of the net. We had two chances in the 1^st half – a first time shot wide by Josh Gibson which was set up by good approach play by Cole Doolan and Andrew Larcombe, and a header wide from a corner.

In the 47^th minute we equalised. Isaac Powell headed the ball over the static Bluebirds defence for Josh Gibson to run onto and cooly place the ball into the corner of the net. Isaac Powell was having a great game and he rode a tackle, drove forward and then unleashed a ball into the box which caught the defender in two minds and Josh Gibson nipped in to bring a fine reaction save from keeper Susso. Isaac was at the fore again when his long ball from the left was not controlled by the defender and Gibson was on hand to bring another save from Susso.

In the 65^th minute we gave away a sloppy goal to allow Trethomas back in front. A cross from the left was allowed to pass across goal by our defence allowing Haben Samson to screw the ball back into the 6-yard box. The ball bobbled about and fell invitingly to Salmon to stab over the line from a yard out. In the 86^th minute, substitute Efan Fletcher was tripped in the box and Andrew Larcombe powered the spot kick into the top corner of the net for the equaliser
