SIMON BERRY APPOINTED AS NEW CELTIC MANAGER

Cwmbran Celtic is pleased to confirm that Simon Berry will be the club’s 1st team manager next
season taking over from outgoing boss James Kinsella. This is 2nd time lucky for Celtic who offered
Simon the job in 2019 under the chairmanship of Scott Kinsella. Simon joins Celtic from
Ardal League Risca United where he was at the helm for 7½ years, having stepped up from coach to Manager when Paul Michael left for Cinderford Town.

Simon started his managerial career at Monmouth Town Youth where, in 2015/16, his Welsh league title winning team included Tyler Broom, Callum Hodges, Simon’s son Tom, & assistant manager Mark Broom.

He also had a short spell as manager at Newport Civil Service & he doubled up as Academy manager at Risca. Simon’s playing career comprised 2 spells with Gwent County Cromwell punctuated by a few seasons at Welsh League Newport Civil Service.
