Celtic started the FAW South-East Youth league season in great form going to the top of the table after 5 games from 4 wins and a draw. They stuttered in the next 5 games dropping 7 points before getting back on track with 5 successive wins to keep them 2nd in the table. They then lost their next 2 games and there was strife in the camp which led to the management team of Foster and Oakley resigning and 7 players leaving the club. Simon Berry, Kian Bodenham, Sam Lewis and Conor James took over but Celtic lost the next 2 games while Simon was trying to get the ship back on course. He succeeded spectacularly as Celtic finished the season as runners-up with 6 successive wins in which Celtic scored 36 goals and beat champions elect Newport City to hold off Newport Corinthains who took 26 points from their last 10 games.
Oscar Balkwill top scored with 29 goals, 27 of which put him in 2nd place in the League standings. He made 56 appearances and scored 42 goals in all games for Celtic teams and took over as captain under Simon. Shay Jones was top of the League assists with an incredible 20. Gabriel Howells gained a regular place in the 1st team squad. 11 players had outings in the 1st team. Five boys, Luke Betts, Jacob Roberts, Ollie Walters, Harrison Sparkes and Harry Peake stepped up from Torfaen Junior football to make their debuts.
